Here are the inclusions covered in our rates:
  • Gas freezer
  • 220V power whilst our generator is running the borehole pump
  • Toilet paper and hand soap
  • Dishwashing services (once per day)
  • Bed-making daily and replacement of linen every 5 days
  • Sale of wood for the boma area and braai facilities
  • Evening lighting of your boma and camp areas with paraffin lanterns along pathways, decks, bathrooms, and rooms by our staff
  • Service from a dedicated team of staff members to assist with making your stay a pleasant experience.
Hippo’s Rest is about getting away.
We use paraffin to heat water and gas to cook. We have solar panels for lights and charging small devices.
